Ronald H. (Ron) Fawcett
To Ron Fawcett
On behalf of all members of the Alumni we the members of the Ski Day and Reunion Planning Committees, wish to acknowledge the tremendous contribution which Ron made, over many years, to the smooth functioning and success of these events.
Ciao dear friend.
Bob Beggs
FAWCETT, Ronald H. (Ron) - Passed away suddenly on April 9, 2010 at the age of 70. Dearly loved and missed by his wife of 45 years Barbara, his daughters Christine (Brent) and Catherine (Jonas) and grandchildren Brittany and Rian, Claire and Cameron. Predeceased by loving parents Herb and Evelyn and brother Jim and also dearly missed by step-mother Leola, sister-in-law Margot, brother-in-law Bob (Linda) and the many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends who were a part of his life. A graduate of University of Toronto Engineering 1965, Ron retired after a successful lifetime career at IBM and was very involved with the CBA at the cottage, the IBM Alumni Association and loved making sawdust whenever possible. Ron will make his final trip to his beloved family cottage this summer where he will forever be able to watch the beautiful sunsets over Georgian Bay, a place where he most loved to be.
A Message from Ron Fawcett's Family
To all of Ron's wonderful IBM retiree friends.
I want to thank you for coming out and expressing your sympathies at Ron's passing.
It was great for me and the family to hear the wonderful stories that many of you shared with us. I also want to thank you for all the generous donations and the lovely floral tribute made in Ron's honour, and for all for the support you gave us, during this difficult time.
I want you to know how much pleasure Ron got from working with all of you. Tough shoes to fill… but you can do it.
Very sincerely,
Barbara, Christine Catherine and families
